. i’m just gonna’ go ahead and throw something out there tonight. something i feel strongly about & that apparently a lot of people completely disregard. let me forewarn you that if this offends you, if this bothers you in any way, allow me to bend over so you can plant some tulips. when you put a bottle to your lips, a bottle containing alcohol, & you then decide to put your keys in the ignition and take a drive, 5 seconds, 5 minutes, an hour down the road, you not only put yourself at risk, but you now also have my family, my friends, their family, their friends, YOUR FAMILY, YOUR FRIENDS’ lives at risk. you are walking on a tight rope wearing someone else’s shoes. i have so many friends that have told me the story “man i was so drunk that night i don’t know how i made it home.” let me tell you how you made it home honey. you made it home by the AWESOME grace of god and by nothing else, you made it home because apparently you were lucky enough that it wasn’t your time. unfortunately not everyone gets that lucky. i have friends who are in pain tonight because of a drunk driver. they’re in pain over something that could have been avoided, SHOULD HAVE been avoided. but because of someone’s carelessness, selfishness, & just down right blatant ignorance, and STUPIDITY, someone’s life was taken. we’ve been watching the commercials since we were old enough to THINK about driving a car, in school, at home, at work, on the radio. so why is it so damn hard for you guys to understand, DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE? seriously, is it really that difficult of a concept for you to wrap your heads around? let me tell you something. i don’t care if you’ve had one or one hundred, you drink, you get in the car, you put MY FAMILY AND MY FRIENDS AT RISK? i won’t be as forgiving as other people. why would you even take the chance? why would you put your own life at risk or does it mean that little to you? if this status bothers you, i’m assuming it’s because you are guilty of it yourself, so instead of getting pissed that someone is calling you out on your complete disregard for human life, take it to heart. think BEFORE & AFTER you drink. plan ahead. have a DD, have a place to say, for christ sakes CALL ME, i will come get you and bring you where you need to be. just don’t let your carelessness be the cause of someone’s pain.
